in Honour of Prof. Alexander (Sasha) Puzrin on the occasion of his 60th Birthday

In collaboration with Prof. Ioannis Anastasopoulos (ETH Zurich), SciGEM is organising a special Symposium on Advances in Geomechanics and Geosystems Engineering (in Honour of Prof. Alexander (Sasha) Puzrin on the Occasion of his 60th Birthday). The event will take place from September 25 to 27, 2025, at the Vincci EverEden Hotel in Athens. As we all know, Prof. Alexander Puzrin has made outstanding contributions to geotechnology and engineering—spanning theoretical, experimental, computational, and field-work advancements—with a profound impact on both academia and practice. This special Symposium will offer an opportunity to celebrate his remarkable career, while engaging in stimulating discussions with colleagues and friends in an inspiring setting.
The Symposium will bring together former students, close collaborators and colleagues (by invitation only), featuring a mix of scientific talks and panel discussions, as well as ample time for discussions and exchanges on future collaborations.
